Dear Friends and Supporters,

A sincere thank you to everyone who attended and volunteered at the Minari: Film Screening, Community Dialogue, & Potluck event last night—not just to watch a movie, but to be part of something meaningful. Minari is more than a story about a Korean-American family. It's a story about resilience, identity, and the quiet courage needed to plant roots in unfamiliar soil. In many ways, it's a story that reflects our own—our parents', our neighbors', our friends'.

Last night wasn’t just about a film. It was about seeing ourselves and each other, and choosing understanding and connection over fear and division.

Since 1992, when BAR was founded, we have never believed that racism could simply end with just a conversation, but it does begin to end with one. When we gather like this, to witness, to feel, to listen, and to reflect—we're taking essential steps forward together.

As we think back on last night, let’s remember the power of small seeds—the seeds of tolerance and understanding. The ones we plant in our families, communities, and in the way we treat each other. May they grow into something strong, healing, and resilient—like minari.

Thank you for showing up and for standing together for inclusion.
